How are you today? I am TI-RED! With capitol letter, yes! You got that right! It is Friday eve and I am staying home tonight. I can hear you yell at your screen: ‘BORINGGG, GUUURL, GET OUT THERE”. – Yes you do that right? I can heeaaaarrr youuuuu …. 🙂 haha.
But I am sorry, I will have to dissapoint you!
My Eurotrip starts tomorrow and I have to recharge myself a bit for that and I thought, why not create a list with 9 random things you can do on a Friday night if you do not want to go out. Turn that Friday in a Friyay!
So here we go!
1. Take a long hot bath- Relax relax relax
A long hot bath is the best thing you can do for your body after a long week of working or going to school. The heat will make your body relax and the steam is good for your pores. If you really want to treat your self buy a nice bubblebar!

If you do not have a bath tub take a long hot shower and sit on the floor. Let the raindrops just come over you. It might sound weird right, sitting at the floor in your own shower but I do it all the time eventhough I have a bathtub too. Just close your eyes and pretend that you are under a waterfall, it will feel amazing!
2. Do a facial mask- Treat your self!
A facial mask is something every girl should do at least once a week for her self. Your skin is so important. What I sometimes really do not understand is that girls spend hundreds of dollars on make up but 0 dollars on their skin care routine. Invest in this too and a good mask will do you wonders. It will make your skin less stressed and nurture it the way it should be nurtured.
3. Catch up on your TV shows- Oh my god, who dies next in Scream Queens?
If you are a series addict like I am you can use this extra time to catch up on your shows. During the week it can be so busy and hectic and nothing says recharge more than watching your fave shows in bed while eating chocolate or candy. Haha. And good news for you. The summerstop is over for most of the series so Greys Anatomy, Black’ish, Modern Family, Keeping up with the Kardashians, Scandal, there are all back. Okay okay, we still do not have PLL but hey, Scream Queens is a nice temporary replacement.
4. Watch an movie from the 50’s-60’s- Audrey is my best friendWatch a nice good oldie.
Have you ever watched one? They are so different than the movies from these days. They are so much more ‘simple and sophisticated’ without all the Hollywood High tech shizzle. Just great camera work, good acting- for some reason oldies always calm me down. And are you afraid that those stories will be boring? Have no fear. The same issues are being discussed as the ones we have in our current lives. Love triangles anyone? I mean Bella isn’t the only one dealing with that shit. Sabrina did it first. Watch Audrey shine in the 1954 movie ‘Sabrina”
5. Read a good book- Let’s be honest, when is the last time you actually read a book?
Read a book, and no not on an iPad or an E-reader. An actual book. Flip the pages, and get lost in a beautiful story. These days we are so in to social media (I mean duh, I am too) and there is nothing wrong with that but sometimes it is nice to take a step back and actually go back to basics and just read a book. A book also does not have a bright screen so your eyes won’t burn after reading for a while.
6. Discover new accounts on Instagram and Pinterest- search random words
I love to get inspired by YOU! By my readers, my followers and random strangers. I meat the most cool people and random accounts by just googling certain words. I give you a task for tonight, on Instagram, go to ‘tags’ and just type in any random word. No, it does not need to be ‘Cat’ you crazy cat lady- haha. Just google one word and scroll to the pictures that the outcome generates. Perhaps you will get inspired in a way you never thought was possible and you will discover new things!
7. Bake cookies- #TherealhousewifeoftheWORLD!
Baking in the evening? Weird! Baking on a Friday night? Even weirder! But hey, why should that stop you from doing it? I often bake cookies in the evening. Just something about making the dough is so relaxing, almost therapeutical and you can experiment with all kinds of ingredients and flavors. + If you are going to do movie night, why not do it with your home made cookies? 🙂
8. Write your goals for the rest of this year- YES YOU CAN DO IT
We are in mid October- Can you believe how fast this year went? I certainly can’t. It is almost my bday, in just 2 weeks I will turn 29 and in just 2,5 months we will already celebrate the end of 2015 and we will welcome 2016. The thing that I never understand is that 1-1 is always the first day of something new. Bullshit. Today can be the first day of the rest of your life (OHMYGOD I SOUND LIKE DR.PHILL) haha. But it is through tough.
Write 5 things you would like to accomplish by the end of this year. Make sure those things are realistic tho, I mean, we all know that I am going to marry Leonardo DiCaprio one day, but I also know it is not by the end of this year but in 2017 😉 So be fair on your self, but do really think about it. It will motivate you to spend the rest of this year in the most motivated way because you have something to work towards.
9. Make a moodboard- Let’s get creative
Moodboards are my guilty pleasure, I think I make one everymonth, or well a few every month. I am a very visual person. I need to ‘see’ things and than I can create things. I love to put my thoughts in to visuals so I can develop my vision.
