My 7 tips on having a more productive day !

For my new Tuesday topic Let’s get personal I will discuss several subjects, varying from diary moments, tips and tricks, and advice in general. As I am striving to create a cool new online magazine for you guys I thought that this topic would be cool to add on my website as well!
Today: 7 tips to have a very productive day! Everybody has a busy life, we all have so much to do that sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming. You have so much to do but you can’t find the time to do this. Does anyone recognize this feeling? Well, I certainly do!

I will share my 7 tips on how I get the most out of my day and I make sure that I have a very productive day!

1.  SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP! I can’t explain to you guys how important sleep is. Sleep does so much for your body, mind and soul. Everybody needs their rest and so do you! Try to create a sleeping routine. During the week I am trying to be in bed before 11pm. Normally I set my alarm clock for 7am. I try to get 8 hours of sleep every night so that when I wake up I feel well rested and energetic.Foto op 11-07-14 om 12.58 #2
2. Breakfast!
See your body as a car. Every car needs their gasoline to run. If there is no gasoline in your car, it won’t move. You are the car and your breakfast is your gasoline. I actually don’t like to have breakfast early in the morning but I force myself to eat something because I know how important this is. I like a green smoothie or some yoghurt with fresh fruits. 3.  Make up your bed.
Yes, this actually helps me not to crawl back in after breakfast. haha. I love a tidy bed. It looks better and it makes me feel better

4.  Clean up your house.
I actually believe that when you have a clean and well organized house you will feel better in general as well. Let’s be honest. Nobody likes to come back to a house full of clutter, the laundry lying around, the dishes not done. It is just not cool. If you pick up after your self on a daily bases you don’t have a lot to do on a daily bases. Just keep up with your cleaning! You can do it ! And trust me, a nice and tidy house (or if you live with your parents, a nice and tidy room) will create a certain serenity that will make you act more productive.1a-minimalist-living5. Make lists.

Yes, I am a big fan of 2 do lists. It gives me a good and clear overview on what I have to do and when I want to do it. And the feeling, when I have finished a task and I can take my pink magic marker and make that activity pink. OH-EM-GEE, best feeling ever ! : ) Also, at the end of the day, when you see how much of the tasks you have actually done it will give you a good feeling about yourself. You can see your own productivity on paper and it will inspire you to do the same thing the next day!tumblr_lwti5gzQ0a1qzevvjo1_1280

6.  Drink a lot of water!
I like to drink 1,5L-2L a day. Keeping your body hydrated is so important. Water actually will give you a lot of energy and it is such a refreshing treat. If you don’t like to drink a lot of water I can share my magic tip with you guys. I love to make fairy-water. Cute name huh?! I am not sure if this is a legit name haha. But I saw it on a TV-Show once and the name kinda sticked. It is basically water mixed with cucumber and mint leaves and lemon/orange slices. I like to prepare 1L bottles. You can do 2/3 water and 1/3 cold green tea if you don’t like ‘just water’ . And fill it up with delicious greens and lemon slices. It is so jummy and it feels like you are drinking a soda only this is so healthy! (with fairy water you can vary endlessly. Try water with raspberry’s, blueberry’s, grapes etc.. )w4

7.  Take breaks between your work/tasks.
Yes, I truly believe in this. I take a 10 minute break every 90 minutes. Walk around a bit, do some stretching exercises, go outside if you have the possibility. And no, not to smoke. haha. When you take this break you can clear your had and focus on something else for a bit. When you come back you will have more energy and you will feel better. You maybe can’t imagine this because it is only a 10 minute break but for me, this really helps a lot.

If you follow these 7 tips I assure you that you will have a more productive day then you are having now. Try to do these 7 steps for 7 days in a row and see how much it will change your daily routine!

  1. Handige tips ! Ik vind het ook fijn als je net je bed uit komt even een washandje over je gezicht te halen. Dat maakt je net meer wakker. 😊
