Hey Lovely friends!

As I mentioned in the post two days ago [press here to read]I have created a new tag, the #TOTD tag where each day I will feature a traveler and a wanderluster by heart. I have decided to do this because I love to read travel stories and I am sure that I am not the only one.

It is very inspiring to read other peoples stories, watch their pictures. Therefor I am searching for the best travelers to inspire YOU!

Today I am featuring IG user danflyingsolo [press here for his Instagram]
I choose him because I love his gallery and he seems like a fun person with a great personality!

Message from ‘danflyingsolo’:
My names Dan, I’m 26 and based in London… For now! I work full time running a busy restaurant so my social time is pretty limited. I’ve spent the last six months wearing a suit five days a week and a backpack the other two trying to get away as much as possible!
1:Where did you go for your first travel experience/holiday ?
My first trip was when I was four and my parents took me to Disney world in Florida. My only real memory of this was causing a scene during one of the shows when I fled the theatre shouting ‘FIRE’ when some kind of dry ice effect started! I do remember though I loved the flight there and back and being a pilot soon become my (unfulfilled) dream job!
2: Which 5 items do you always bring on your travels
Over the last year I have become a complete amateur photography geek so this list is pretty reflective!
1. Canon DSLR
2. GoPro
3. Tripod
4. Minimal clothes
5. Ipad – always have to have a local language app, TripIt to keep all my bookings etc in one place and so I can quickly view and crop photos from my DSLR on the move
3: Where are you now and where will you go for your next trip?2065167934_1ff36724e0_o
Right now I am in Stockholm, Sweden for a few days. I try to get away as much as possible so really make use of my days off, Next week I have day trips to Zurich and Dublin. I leave my current job in September so that’s when my first real big trip is, starting in Indonesia, through Australia and wherever it takes me after that. There is no timeframe at all which is the most exciting (and scary) part!
4: What is your dream destination?
Wow, this is a tough question as I keep getting so much inspiration from other travellers that the list constantly changes! Currently high up on it are Tibet, Solomon Islands and Cuba before they change too much.
5: What is your favorite travel picture that you took and why/what is the story behind it ?
I don’t think I could actually answer this one, so I’ve picked my favourite shot from this year so far. This was taken In Lake Bled in Slovenia, it’s such a naturally beautiful rich place and a day here really relaxed me. This particular shot was taken from near the little Island in the middle of the lake, just me, a boat and nature all around – total bliss.
6: If you could take 3 celeb travel buddies on your next trip, who would they be and why?
Another tough one! Bear Grylls would be a must to keep pushing me beyond my boundaries. Bill Bryson (maybe slightly younger) would be an interesting person to see the world with, I find his books have a really great touch to them and his other knowledge would sure be enlightening. The Queen (or similar replacement) as bizarre as it sounds would be a
really interesting person to help see the Commonwealth with from a completely different angle and type of travel experience.
7: Are you a backpacker (budget traveling) or a flash packer (luxury traveler)? And what was the best backpack/flashback accommodation where you have ever stayed?
My type of travel changes as constantly as the wind. It all comes down to the purpose, place and who you are travelling with. From couchsurfing in Amsterdam, luxury hotels in Malta right through to 24 bed dorms in Rio and the worst kind of box rooms in Koh San Road I’ve done it all! Im starting to grow out of Hostels I can tell though, more so because the experiences I want when travelling seem to involve a lot more early mornings and less late nights than they used to.

Couchsurfing or AirBnB are great alternatives as you can gain so much knowledge from getting a better interaction with locals.
My favourite place I’ve stayed so far was a suite at the Corintha hotel in Lisbon – it was completely out of the blue, free and turned into a bit of a love story!
This was the #TOTD tag with IG user danflyingsolo. I think he is a pretty cool guy and I have enjoyed reading his answers! I hope you did too.
Tomorrow, I already have a new exciting #TOTD’er for you guys !
If you are also interested in being futured as an #TOTD on my website and being promoted on my Instagram account  take a look here: How to become a #TOTD
Later today I will post my review about the Mainport Hotel where I have stayed this week.
