Today I will share the best sushi place in Bali with you guys ! I have discovered this lovely venue through my Instagram account and actually a lot of my friends recommended this place to me.
I heard so many positive stories about Sushimi that I decided to check out this place for my self and I am so happy that I did.
Like some of you might know, I am a huge sushilover. I am a sushi addict. I can eat sushi all day, everyday. And with that said, being in Asia and having a sushi addiction is the best. There are a lot of wonderful sushi restaurants but after eating in Sushimi I must say, it is definitely in my top 3. Currently it is even my number 1 sushi place in Bali and I can definitely recommend this to anyone who loves sushi as much as I do !
Sushimi opened their doors in July 2013 and have already become a well known sushi place where people come for food of great quality, great service and of course the delicious sushi’s.
They work with a ‘colored plate’ system where each plate has it’s own price. You can find these prices on the menu card and they also have the colored plates on the wall so you can take a quick look while eating. This is very convenient because it is an easy way to keep up how much you have spend while you are eating. The restaurant is designed in a cool way where there is an open kitchen in the middle of the venue where you can see the sushi chefs working their magic. The chefs are very friendly and obviously have a lot of fun in their work. For my hygiene is very important and it is nice to see how clean the kitchen is and how clean the chefs are working. They are wearing gloves when they are handeling the fish and continuously clean their food/work station. That is a big plus for me and I am very impressed with this!
What did I eat today?
I chose several dishes to try, here is my list:
- Tempura Prawn Roll
- Soft Shell Crab Roll
- Aburi Salmon Nigiri
- Smoked Salmon Sushi
- Crab Croquette
- Salmon carpaccio
I can honestly say that I loved every dish. The Salmon Carpaccio are thin slices of salmon belly topped with coriander leaves and wasabi mayonnaise dressing and these slices melt away on your tongue. You can taste the freshness of the salmon and the dressing is just delicious !
The crab croquettes were a pleasant surprise! I never had crab croquettes before and I always like to try new things and friends, I think I just have discovered a fave new dish. The croquettes are so well prepared. They are crunchy on the outside and so soft and tasteful on the inside!
The sushi’s were great as well and this place will definitely get the DOBE GLOBE approval. I will definitely come back here and Sushimi is now officially added to my fave sushi place list!
